He is putting it back together right now. He figured which shim went where and is putting the housing back together. I told him has has plenty of time to get it ready for the track Saturday:p

He has my stock driver side axle so there are no excuses:p

DA Saturday will be -300 to 200 right now. He went 9.90 in 1300 DA

call dealer or as mentioned b4 find a rear end shop in your area & take them to see if they can be matched up.

Really no suggestions besides to torque you use a torque wrench and then hold with another ratchet. Another person for the ratchet helps. 7E6C0C4B-0CC0-42D7-872B-60C848A47FD6.jpeg

You need to check the wear pattern (with something) to make sure it is the same as before or else you will have a pretty noticeable whine either on the drive side or on deceleration

Not much but there is some of a thickness difference. I didn’t measure the two

If you don't have a set of these, you'll want to get some.

I'm old school so I prefer the dial version to the digital version. You'll find plenty of uses for them. Cars, guns.......

These also measure mm......if that matters to you. Sometimes you need that.

Yep, but you get what you pay for. If you take care of these you will have them forever. Mine are easily 25 yrs old and they were around that much money back then, but they were a certified set that came with a calibration cert. I got a deal on them through my work at the time. One of the good things about the dial ones is that you don't have to worry about batteries going dead, or leaking and ruining your tool.


Well worth the money.

What you also have to watch out for are smoe of the less expensive ones only measure "outside" dimensions. They don't have the ability to also measure "inside" , depth and step.

I have used all of those functions over the years, so I have gotten my moneys worth out of them.

Every racer needs one. Have had this one for decades. Don’t use it much for automotive anymore but still seem to need it fairly regularly. image.jpg

If the it say 9mm it is 9mm you don't have to check everyone:LOL:
