When I started pumping gas the price was .29.9.

It wasn't just the price, it was that it NEVER changed, I mean for like years it seems.

Yep back in the 90's gas may have went up .10 cents but for the most part was around $1. I remember people driving to stations that were .05 cents cheaper to fill up

$.30 gas sounds cheap but I'm thinking this was back in the 60s? 1965 would be about the same as $2.70 today which is where were we before all the shit happened this year

I've never understood why the Hellcat wasn't flex fuel to begin with especially considering Dodge makes other flex fuel vehicles. I'm still not sure though with some places not having E85 at the gas pump. Would be cool though and I'd love to get a look at the tune. Having the bypass involved to limit boost pressure could allow for running a smaller pulley too

Also, as Speedy pointed out, E85 is not at every pump. Few stations around here offer it.

Doubt many will end up in the hands of 'regular guys'

He had a Demon as a daily, didn't like it, sold and got a BMW M3 manual, sold that, bought the Porche. It's a 911 Turbo a couple years old. It's a pretty sweet looking car but he is having to do some minor work on it, driver door card, some maintenance stuff. Says it's a PITA to work on so found a local independent Porche shop to do some of it.

Anyway the point is $100K for a Dodge Challenger is ridiculous. They started off at $60K went up to $70K the second year but no one bought them, I got mine discounted for $62K. Tell me what's so much better about a 2022 model that justifies a 60% increase in price.

And they arent dumping huge money into R&D on these cars either. Its established tech with pretty colors and bows on it to make you think its different.

Most things are artificially inflated thanks to our brilliant leader. When that bubble pops a lot of people will be upside down that bought in during the bubble. I think that's why we see so many people lease these cars. There's not anything that justifies the 60% increase. 20 or 30 I could see due to inflation, etc. But 60% is nuts. They couldn't give these cars away in 2017 and 2018 remember.

Nah companies are piling on all on their own in the name of "runaway inflation". No president has that much (good or bad) influence. Greed is to blame, pretty straightforward stuff...They are taking us over a cliff but short-term gain will always win when it comes to human nature.
