I kind of doubt it.....The Hellcat stage kits are still not available and Dodge is not taking anymore orders on Redeyes at this time. Not to mention there isn't a SRT department any longer.
1971 redux.....

On the other hand, you can't take it with you. And supposedly only live once.

Still not worth being ripped off. If these cars sold for $60k and made profit Dodge is gouging customers at $90-100k. I'm looking at a Porche or something for that money.

You don't get much Porsche for less than $100K. They've been affected by all the crazy crap going on, too.

There's not much in performance for less than $100K anymore. A narrow body redeye, regular hellcat, camaro or a mustang is about it.
So I'm keeping mine.

But add 10 or 20% and you can get a pretty bad ass low mileage turbo Porche that's a year or two old. My buddy just did exactly that. I suspect that'll work out better long term than a $100k Dodge. Just is what it is.

I dunno. As I recall, my girlfriend's Porsche was about three years old, and she got over $200K when recently trading it in. It did have low mileage, though.

Unless you mean a Boxter or Cayman, but those aren't exactly bad ass.

He had a Demon as a daily, didn't like it, sold and got a BMW M3 manual, sold that, bought the Porche. It's a 911 Turbo a couple years old. It's a pretty sweet looking car but he is having to do some minor work on it, driver door card, some maintenance stuff. Says it's a PITA to work on so found a local independent Porche shop to do some of it.

Anyway the point is $100K for a Dodge Challenger is ridiculous. They started off at $60K went up to $70K the second year but no one bought them, I got mine discounted for $62K. Tell me what's so much better about a 2022 model that justifies a 60% increase in price.

And here I shamed my girlfriend into buying a Redeye, after pointing out that those are quicker in the 1/4 than her 911 Turbo S.

Actually, it may even have been that my regular pedestrian 'Cat was quicker. But she wanted to up me and got the Redeye.

So, $80K and change to beat a $200++K car isn't too shabby, I think. And I'm not surprised at all that car prices are going up. Everything costs more now.

Most things are artificially inflated thanks to our brilliant leader. When that bubble pops a lot of people will be upside down that bought in during the bubble. I think that's why we see so many people lease these cars. There's not anything that justifies the 60% increase. 20 or 30 I could see due to inflation, etc. But 60% is nuts. They couldn't give these cars away in 2017 and 2018 remember.

We are in a hyper-inflationary period. This is what happens when companies take advantage of the built-in excuse to profiteer. It's ironic since their greed will ultimately lead us directly into a recession.

I think we asked for this when crude started getting traded on the open market. Back when I was in college gas prices never changed. 89 cent a gallon all the time. What happened?!

Was this in the early 1900s, as they were beating out the EVs?
