Maybe I read it wrong but thought this is the tired shortblock dyno before switching to new engine?

426 before header test is how I understand it.

Went from 931 to 972 or something. 40whp gain at the same ECT. More surprising to me was the huge difference between 150* and 170*… it was enough to nullify the headers on the first hit.

Here is what I have seen with headers. Just installing headers is about a 0 gain. Why, because the gain in power is lost by less boost. So you make the same hp with less boost

What I also have seen when going to bigger free flowing engine the same happens, you can make the same or a little more hp but will also being making less boost

Boost is a restriction of flow but the more boost you have the more power the engine makes. Superchargers are limited on how fast you can spin them so when making the engine flow more adding compression is one way to add boost why this 426 has 11.5 compression
