I appreciate how
@1971demon specifically stated his deal and the dealer doing it for him; it's an excellent example of free advertising...
That works both ways however; if you call a dealer who states an exorbitant markup, drop their name and put them on blast for all to see so no one else wastes their time dealing with them.
No idea how far it might go up the corporate ladder but if
@DodgeCares is paying attention and has a dealership's name to go with the claim that a member was told
"$250K over sticker" as someone here stated a dealer in the Phoenix/Valley area told them, it might help get the issue addressed and get called them out by corporate...
This whole dynamic is gonna get real interesting here in about 8+ months when dealers are sitting on them. 3K sounds like a low production car but I recall my S55 AMG was one of 438 (?) worldwide IIRC according to the AMG Registry back in the day. Sure, there's massive interest, but just because someone's wealthy doesn't mean they're stupid or careless with money. There's plenty of enthusiasts who will pay whatever it costs and have the money, just as there's as many that will pass and spend their money elsewhere.
Either way, Dodge is done. Soon to go the way of Pontiac, AMC, Plymouth, etc. etc. etc.
