I have a suspicion that with metallic Triple Nickel still around, Smoke Show is probably a non-metallic shade variant of Destroyer Grey.

Yeah the Smoke Show seems not so many years ago the 50th anniversary Challenger would be a really special car. And that was a serious round table conversation which this thread just reminded me of. But instead it’s about a special color and fender flares wow how appropriate could the name be implying just that its been a “Smoke Show”.

Covid 19 aside, the excitement around the 50th was real weak, even before it all happened.

I thought all the 50th anniversary editions were spoken for/allocated? Or are they just doing it for special orders? Odd, to announce it nearly half way through 2020.
Still wish they kept Destroyer Gray. Love or hate color, but I’m on the love side.

Looking closer at the press release, these appear to be the 50th Anniversary "Commemorative" edition appearance packages. That is "unlimited", no numbered cars. Don't ask me what's different, other than not being 1 of 70 (per color) numbered cars. The feature list looks pretty much the same but they do mention having "select 50th anniversary limited-edition touches".

"New colors were first shown to the public as concept colors, two years ago at the FCA Design Color Clinic at the annual Spring Festival of the LXs in Pomona, California. The color was originally known as 'Garbage Can' during the clinic."
