Out of curiosity how well does the redeye and demon chiller work compared to aftermarket? I was reviewing a redeye log last night that I was tuning and his temps were still up there even letting the cool down run. Maybe he needed to give it more time but it sure didn't work super quick.
I think the aftermarket ones work better because they keep cooling down as much as they can but the RE / Demon shuts off at a certain temp, not sure what temp that is but they don't chill down as low as aftermarket.

Because I know the after race cool down will shut off at it's target temp (at which time the temps start to rise again) but I thought the interchiller just runs until you shut it down. But at VMP, it did shut down on me a few times in the staging lanes after it sat in the puts for a while. it was frustrating, but I wonder it you're explanation is why it happened. Looks like I need to go back to the owner's manual....

Regarding how the factory interchiller works compared to aftermarket, no idea. I can pull a log or two for you, @jonx96, tomorrow. At least on my way to and from work (but probably won't have any WOT pulls on 95 into or out of DC. May be able to get back out in the evening for a bit tomorrow for another log or two.

@fumanchu182 - I don't know if you're an oracle or an a$$hole. :p Stuck behind two crashes in my 25 mile trip into work. one was pretty bad, one was just a fender bender, but people around here can't drive and the roads can't handle the traffic anyway, especially with rubber neckers / cones. :(

I tried to get a log this morning, but the chiller wouldn't turn on, I think it was the "installing xxxxxxx.jar" message I had on the screen the whole trip in. But then, VCM scanner crashed as I got into the parking lot, so I lost everything I had logged anyway.

Edited because I can't type. :whistle:

im in the navy so for sure asshole… i dont miss driving to dc at all…

Was it cold outside when it wouldn't come on ? I think if ambient temps are too low it won't come on either besides shutting off when it chills to a certain temp.

Was it cold outside when it wouldn't come on ? I think if ambient temps are too low it won't come on either besides shutting off when it chills to a certain temp.
It wasn't necessarily cold, cooler, I'd say. But even when IAT got over 120, just kept saying "chiller unavailable." I'll try again on my way home.

I am thinking the aftermarket system is much better. It looks like your temps aren't bad but the aftermarket systems would get you below outside temps.
But as have said maybe it only lets you get so cool.

I’ve been talking about a redeye. Someone stopped into my house Friday night said they were coming back Monday with money.
I have a new employee this week so I’m hoping I can make it to pick the new car up

Well guy backed out from it he said he doesn’t want a loan right now. He was approved for a loan and everything by the way he made it sound….
