@BULL is trying to get a list of tuners people use and similar things and map them out. So if you have things like that, put them here and we'll see where it goes from there. We'll probably have some trial and error/growing pains as we get it all sorted out.
Last night I picked 3 random tuners that were in a similar geographic area and fiddled with them on googlemaps to see how it might work. The map is above in an earlier post if you want to take a look.
@BULL can correct if I'm wrong about the intent or delivery.
Just my opinion; select a tuner that owns, drives, races, builds and tunes our cars. Should not select a remote/computer tuner that is trying to figure out our cars. He does not know how to race nor understands what is going on with our cars.
If I were you; I would select AJ: Hemituner Performance or Josh: HHP

Concur but is there a way to figure out which product each shop uses in the map metadata? I know HHP uses Diablo exclusively so they would be a non starter for me as I use HP Tuners.

Even if we can't get it into the map route, we can create a simple database that goes with the map that has whatever appropriate info we can collect.
Then people can use the map to find locations near them for direct tuning. For remote tuning, they can use it to see who is where and what they do (or don't do).
One could do a Google spreadsheet with Tuner, address, and preferred tuning device (HP or Diablo). Make it a read only where the mod would be able to edit the page. Then post it up in the Wiki.

Ok, so I tried something different today using the "Starred Places" feature (example below). This was the 3 I used yesterday, and I added OST, Hemituner in NY, and Fasthemis in Calif.
I didn't see much difference between the two different lists as far as features. Both had the ability to show you a pic of the place if one was available when you hovered on the location marker.
I also didn't see any way to export any type of spreadsheet of these lists, but I'm no googlemaps expert. I'll see if anything different happens with google earth.
Sateras place has such a cool vibe. The only time I was there was to pick up my wheels and tires (thank you FFBOS, the best they've done is 8.90), but it's a slick set-up
