The video I posted from LegitStreetCars… the Silverado was completely submerged in a lake at a boat ramp. Because it’s a Chevy he could have replaced every module in the truck for a couple grand. Same goes for a Dodge… these aren’t McLarens. That particular truck had ice cubes in the intake and a transmission, transfer case, and both diffs full of water. The cup holders and glove box had ice in them still. He spent about $1500 on the cluster and a couple modules and is driving the truck daily like it’s new. Fresh water makes all the difference.
Most connectors and several electrical components are actually water tight. Those that aren’t can be replaced and reprogrammed cheaply. Most of the interior is 100% salvageable and anything that isn’t - is still a Dodge component.
If the engine wasn’t running, it’ll be fine. Water in the tranny? A couple flushes and you’re golden. It’s not like it was being pumped through the valve body and torque converter. And water sits in the bottom of everything anyway, so it’s in the pan, the bottom of the diff, etc…
This car will go for a good buck.
