Stuck in eco mode

Has anyone experienced getting stuck in eco mode and can't get out of it? This is driving my anxiety through the roof! Anyone thoughts to fix until I delete mds.

Second time in as many weeks new folks come in because they are using this mysterious option and then reporting problems.

No one buys an SRT vehicle for this so-called ECO mode.

Has anyone experienced getting stuck in eco mode and can't get out of it? This is driving my anxiety through the roof! Anyone thoughts to fix until I delete mds.

On my daughters 392 ('14 Charger SRT8) ECO mode is not MDS, you can't delete the ECO mode. I have deleted the MDS system, removed the solenoids, replaced the lifters, replaced the MDS cam, and turned MDS off via a Diablo tuner, but the ECO light will still come on (light on the dash) when driving.
I believe (not 100% positive, but pretty sure) that ECO mode only refers to "optimum" fuel saving range when cruising (not accelerating)...
If you still have the MDS system in operation you can hear when the engine starts dropping cylinders (MDS is on) - the sound will change, but even deleting the MDS system doesn't delete ECO mode (light on the dash) the MDS will cease to function but the ECO light remains - at least on the '14 392, anyway.
If you have the MDS still functioning the ECO and MDS may operate at the same time, but I think going into Sport mode will disable both temporarily - meaning they come back on when going back into normal mode or turning off the car.
Someone else may be able to correct me if I have that wrong, since I am going by memory when I have driven my daughters Charger, but ECO (the light anyway) and MDS are not the same...

I do not use this option it just engages itself. Even in track,sport,and custom. Very annoying!

you've gone into the SRT pages and disabled ECO?

If so, and it keeps re-enabling on start up, try rebooting U-connect [the sequence of what and where to press varies by model year]
or pay a visit to a dealership if still under warranty, have them try resetting or reloading the software/firmware. If that doesn't work, replace the radio

Done all of the above. They said there was nothing they could do.
