Doing some R&D right now but expect these to be ready for sale soon. Right now I’m printing in PLA but all final prints will be in PETG for heat in the summer.

So don't think of it as a waste of money, think of it as supporting your local car junkies bad habits… 😂 current hole is modeled for 42mm which is 1 5/8”

I'm really liking ABS-GF

(NOT ABS-CF)

With ABS you get good temp resistant, with the GF, you get good dimensional stability, and it's not completely horrible to print. Certainly not as buttery smooth as PLA, but nice.

Please be careful. The one reason I am not printing in ABS in the house is because the fumes are an irritant and toxic. I have a dog in the house as well as myself and I’d like not to get cancer. PETG offers many of the same benefits of ABS with a little bit of a lower heat tolerance. There were a lot of good case, studies done and comparisons with the filaments mentioned I think PETG is a good choice.

I've got an enclosure and a fan/filter rated the job, I only started printing ABS after I got that.

Haha thats funny but no, it is for roll cage bars and steering wheels. I would not trust anti-theft to a 3d printed part unless its a block to your obd2 port that is bolted in.

I thought it was for catching steering wheels in the wild. I wouldn't even know what kind of bait to use.

Ha! Some say if you dip a piece of leather into e85 it will lure them out…

Well, Anthony if it makes you feel better, I knew what the steering wheel hook was for.
Some racers also like to hang their helmets too.
Sometime I might need one

They can handle helmets as well. Just might have to use the chin strap. :)
