I just noticed, shouldn't the pin be flush with the inner groove so the washer seats all the way? Sorry, I'm just lookin out.
We triple check the measurement.
Weird thing is when we felt it with our fingers it felt like it was a small smidge out too far if I remember right. Looks at the pic it looks slightly to in. I don’t think It’d been possible to make it flush on both

The washer doesn't fit in the inner that is the crank. Where it is shiny on the outside is where the washer is on the balancer right over the pin

Ok yeah, I forgot how big the washer was. But seems like I remember in the directions for the pin to be flush with the inner groove? Maybe I'm dreaming lol. It's been a while and I need to check. Anyway, looks good!!

if it were flush with the inner then it could move outward

as many of you know I bought a tune for my car this summer. Well I had tons of issues with knock and fuel trims being way off on take off causing the car to be a little lean. Well I started tuning myself and I was fighting the tune A lot. Well I eventually made the car better I thought. But I’m guessing this plug has been bad for some time. Did the tune from the tuner cause this issue or was this plug bad already and it caused the issues to the tune I paid for. Idk. Not blaming anyone. Just curious. I bought the car used so who knows.
But this is cylinder 4 both plugs are broke as you can see. No misfire codes or anything. No idea. I can’t believe the car was running like it was. I had no signs a plug was bad. I just thought it would be good to check everything out over winter.

If misfire wasn't turned off in the tune it may not have been enough to register. I believe that's a pretty sensitive pid and will set a MIL pretty quick. It's possible that plug still fires, although I'd expect the spark to blow out under boost. Do you have pics of the other plugs?

I'd scope the bore. Something got hot but I've seen A LOT worse. You may have gotten lucky. Something like that "normally" means a lean condition, but I'd expect it not to burn the strap until it was in a decent amount of boost AND lean. The coloring makes me think it's been like that for a while.

cylinder mis fire is enabled. I’m thinking this has been a lot of my issues. My guess I bought the car like this a year and a half ago. From now on I’ll be doing a yearly plug check.

Cylinder 7 was the worst plug as far as color goes

For a set of 16, that seems cheap really...
