I still have to get the o2 sensor recall done. Think the dealer will just give me the parts to do myself @16GoManGoHC2 ? Same with charcoal canister

I started having … come up in my AFR page, and wonky starts, changing fuel trims. No codes, diagnostics of watching O2 sensors said they were fine. Yes, they thought they were fine. But they were reading something as being OK that the engine was telling me different. I replaced all four and never had a problem since, $250 well spent, easily changed two hours tops.
Running O2 sensor that is thinking it’s on Target when it’s actually running the engine pig Rich and you’ll wipe your cylinder walls out in short order. And if it’s smoking white and dumping that much fuel, that’s what’s happening at the moment.
Mine dashes out too on my Afr page sometimes

If I went to the 1700s what is the fmv of the 8 1300s if I let the buyer pay the price of cleaning all 8 and fixing that one injector?

My local dealer did. I brought my car to the dealership with my previously removed catalytic converters in the trunk and oxygen sensors and my stock PCM. And traded them for the new catalytic converters and box with the four new O2 sensors in it and they had to put my stock PCM back in the car, flashed it so their computer was happy That my car was done for the recall and then put my unlocked PCM back in the car for me and all has been well since, that’s the O2 sensors I used. I changed all four and haven’t had a problem since. the new catalytic converters are still in my attic for when they may be needed .

The id1700s will be here on Monday and I should be rolling with my new tune next week. I am going to sell the 1300s for 525 including shipping to the continental 48. Figure even if ID cannot fix the bad injector you would be paying 525 plus 250 for a new injector and 350 for the labor to clean them/flow test them, etc. 1025 vs paying 1800 or so for a new set.

May be able to get the engine refreshed a lot cheaper now then if it gets let go. If you trade it in it may be a pretty low number. Have to weigh the options of fixing And taking less on trade
Agree completely.

You must have a good relationship with that dealer. Did they note the swap of the customer provided unlocked PCM in the notes?

I have read on fakebook about people taking their car in for CAT recalls and having newer tunes flashed into their older cars that have way more COT built into them and they do not pull nearly as hard up top and for as long of a period of time before going super rich with the AFRs, cars feel like they are laying down up top. People say in 2021 the EPA really cracked down on the factory tunes and forced them to put a lot more fuel in for added COT - anyone know if that's true? Would not matter to anyone who is running a tune though I suppose. Just curious if anyone else has read about this?

Can I temporarily drive her with the wrong injector data in there? 1300 vs what should be in there for the 1700s? Tuners are busy people.

My tuner just sent me the data. I will load it on Monday when I get the injectors to them. I will drive it home which is only two miles. Then he wants me to do an idle log as the first step to retuning. The tuner.

Should I worry that the plastic protectors were pierced?

@AlleyCat
@fumanchu182 may be able to help you out. He has a fuel injector cleaning system.
If he doesn't chime in, send him a PM

I hope they do not need cleaning. They are supposedly brand new.
