go to Tappeds site. The inline filter is for IF you remove the in tank filter sock on the passenger side Jet pump, or run a return system where you’re running at 100% pdc all the time

It's common sense. But don't post that it's not needed.

This is about filtering fuel, not the fuel system.

Why does direct connection have 2 inline filters in their kit?

It's common sense. But don't post that it's not needed.

This is about filtering fuel, not the fuel system.

Why does direct connection have 2 inline filters in their kit?
For a return system with no internal fuel pump socks. The stock socks aren’t paper. The mat in the fuel cell degrades over time. You don’t have that in a stock tank and if you’re running socks on your pumps. I bet you still have socks on yours, so the micron filter is an additional restriction if you’re not replacing your in tank socks

Like Jon said, I'm trying to get clarity on the notes the shop received from the testing facility. They are all free flowing now, it sounds like while being tested they may have begun to function again. I don't think a formal repair to these was ever made, or at least not one that I authorized or paid for. Trying to see what other notes or observations were sent over.

@fumanchu182 As much as I'd like to clean these up and reuse them, it seems ridiculous to put these back into a brand new motor knowing what could happen again. I'll probably bite the bullet and add ID 1050's to my long shopping list for this project. I appreciate your offer though!

And, yes, for the record I'm running 93 only. Mixed with Torco for track use. This car has never seen a drop of E85. We do not have it here in NH.

New custom long block from @Hatermkr is in NH at the shop safe and sound. Thitek ported and polished heads, big CamMotion cam from @Jon-MooredPerformanceLLC and upgraded almost everything else, very little left that is stock. Long tubes are arriving at ATP Wrap today for custom inconel heat shielding. Once that is complete, the shop I'm using should be ready to receive my car back and begin work on the rebuild. Probably the first half of February to be back up and running. It's been a long 83 days....not that I'm counting.

Where is this filter you speak of on a hellcat??

you your saying the sock 🧦 on the pump that is not a filter

injectors have a filter on them also. Than how does things get through to make an injector dirty.

It's added into the fuel system.

The sock on the pump is not fine enough.

Hey BG, I hope you will do something to avoid salt spraying your car moving it back to the shop. I don't even want to use my alum trailer in this crap!

If it were me, I wouldn't worry about it, I'll be dead or in the home before it rusts through. But you are a young guy and might want to keep it nice for many years to come. And you have a daughter who may want it! :)
