What’s the BEST rear 15” conversion kit on the market? Pics, price, amount of grinding needed, street ability, retention of parking brake, please let me know what you guys run and why.
Thanks!!
I went with the Dusterhoff Racing 15" rear brake conversion. The reason I went with their kit was because it retains use of the factory parking brake.
The only grinding I had to do was on the sway bar link mount. It is a well put together kit with no surprises, well besides the Wilwood pads dust just as much if not more than factory Brembo pads, I wasn't expecting that.
U have a couple of different options depending on how well u wanna stop. There are a few conversions out there that are more Drag related and u have some that are more Street related.
The drag stiff will be slightly lighter of course.
I would be looking at the new Street stuff that TBM released it will offer the best in performance and price imo. The kit offered by Dusterhoff is just the Wilwood kit and imo its more track related. The TBM stuff only works with an outter bead locked rim IF u have bead locks FYI which is normal. Double beading locking isnt common.
Should also shave about 10 lbs of rotating mass over stock.
15's just give such a badass look to. Here is a set of my Mustang I have the Baer stuff front and rear now so I could run the RC Componets. Dont have pic of those tho but they are on now and they are super light.
