I put a deposit on a Ram 2500 that is in transit to a local dealer. Wondering how many of you guys have one and what you think.

I know it won’t ride/drive as nice and the 1/2ton but it’ll trailer better and I can put a real plow on it, I have a 1/2mi long driveway in NH. (Remember Breaking Bad when Walter was hiding out?)

The are offering over $15k off!!! What am I missing? Please let me know, thanks!

Agree, the only color that hides dirt better is my wife's Khaki (I call it Mud Brown Metallic) Wrangler. She doesn't want a new one until they bring back the color

Don’t know about 2500 myself, but my cohort at work picked a new pumpkin orange power wagon about 2 years ago that he loves and has had no issues with!

My 6.4 2500 also tradesman, drives better and is quieter than my 1500. But it’s 9 years newer lol. Has around 14,000 tow cap. This was my old boat about 8500lbs, pulled that like a dream.

And barely even notice pulling new boat.

Love the comfort and space, get lots of compliments but I’ve honestly been eying the new 1500 rho. Looks to be pretty sweet even tho it’s got that tt v6. If don’t do another 2500 I might look into one of those in a few years. I’m just not pulling the weight I used to.

If they are offering 15 off 60 that’s a freaking great deal, like unbelievable really. Does kinda drive like a bus but you get used to it😂

I took it to one of my daughter’s events at a hotel once and the parking spots were so freaking small and all completely full.. except one. Man it took like 10 pivots to get it straight then the doors could barely open 😂 Hilarious I swear.

They are discounted like that because there is something like a 500+ day supply ! I'd squeeze the living crap out of the dealer, especially if it's been on his lot for a long time !!

Funny how that changes...in 21 when I went back to a 1500...I got a ton for my 2500..there were none on the lots...

Currently I do less than 4k mi/year on the 1/2 ton, over half of it towing a 7k trailer. We drove the 1/2 ton to FL (3k mi RT) last month, first time in over 20 years. I'm old so I don't expect to do that again.

Thanks for the info/opinions, please keep them coming.

I have a 2018 2500 Bighorn with 101k miles on it now. Over half of that is towing my race trailer (40 ft long and 18,000 lbs with the car/golf cart and stuff). Other than scheduled maintenance (and two sets of tires and one set of brakes) I have never spent a dollar on fixing anything. Now that it is off warranty, I will be deleting the def and enjoying the added power and fuel mileage along with knowing I will never have to buy another truck. IMG_5933.jpeg

Even the factory brakes on those trucks is outstanding and wear very well

I am happy you guys mentioned that. At the beginning of the test drive I came up behind a car closer than I intended because the pedal required much higher effort than the 1/2t (and certainly the HC!) Obviously I need to get more accustom to it. :)
