Last year I bought a Kobalt brand hedge trimmer powered by a 40v battery. I caught a sale on a Kobalt battery powered leaf blower that takes the same 40v battery. Cost, 49.00 without battery. No prob as I already had the battery and charger. Much easier than trying to use my gas blower, lighter and easier to handle. Plenty of power. If you are already using battery powered tools look into going this route. Good luck.

Re purposed electric leaf blower for me. Looks like a nice unit though. Big fan of blowing water off vs drying towels.

B&D 40V leaf blower for me !

Careful with the gas ones, some run the exhaust thru the air nozzle.

B&D 40V Leaf Blower as well. Use the Rag Companies Eagle Edgeless 500 to finish her off.

I do use a battery powered leaf blower if a little surface dust gets on it, but not to dry it.. I guess I’m missing something here

You guys have to try out water-less washing, especially if your car is only ever dusty. Super easy way to spray on product and wipe off and its all clean. Pretty common nowadays, all the pro detailers do it. I haven't washed a car with soapy water/buckets and a hose in like 3-4 years. This is so much less work.

I started using my leaf blower on a whim after I got tired of chasing around the water drips on my Challenger. I swear just the rear light panel itself seemed to hold 5 gallons of water. Plus, on a hot day, blowing the car off really cuts down on the waterspots that would form if i didn't get towel dried quick enough.
This way I get 99 percent of the water off before it has time to spot, then I just finish off with a microfiber towel.
If I had an electric leaf blower, I would use that, but I have a gas. Works good.

I guess having white helps, even those few little left over drips are not noticeable. I’ll give it a shot, couldn’t hurt

Yeah, white helps alot. We have some minerals in the water here that will make it spot quickly on a hot sunny day. Being able to blow off that excess right after washing really does make a difference. Plus it cuts down on the 6 or more towels I would have to use per vehicle.

Using the leaf blower on my truck really cuts down the drying time on that too..

A few of my neighbors thought I was crazy when they first saw me doing it....but....like a cheap disease, they caught on and now do the same thing.

Agreed. I've never used a hose on mine because of the ceramic coating. I use ONR Rinseless wash. I still do it in a 5 gallon bucket rather then spray on and at times leaf blower is used. Still only takes about 20mins. but less you rub it better off you are. I do have a monthly wash membership with the company that did all my work so basically I just do the upkeep on it in between good washes.

What product do you use?

Wait, but this is a Hellcat board. No one went for the highest power 650cfm Ego blower?

I used to pull that on my ex when I would wash her 5.0. For some reason she didn't believe me......

For some reason drying (blower is much more fun) is my least favorite part. Enjoy the washing and detail/sealant application. Been using DI water for years, so don't stress about water spots anymore. Maybe that is why drying carries that feeling?
