For those of you that have them, what do you use to clean and protect your carbon fibre stripes? I have been using Meguiars Ultimate detailing spray which seems to clean ok, just not sure on UV protection.
Do you just wipe it on and leave it or does it need to be buffed out? The dealer I bought my HC from is getting new stripes for the trunk. It looked like someone had used a chemical that bleached a spot on it. I dont want to make the same mistake.
I had issues with mine as well, but didn't want the dealer to mess with them & the 303 (over time) has 'evened' them out for the most part.
I used to sort of lightly buff the excess, but I've found it's just easier to go VERY sparingly on applying the product to begin with. I spritz it on one of these microfiber covered sponges: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics...sponge&qid=1593480246&s=beauty&sr=1-2-catcorr
then wipe the foam block over that to get product on and rub it in going up & down length wise. If spots seem too dry, you can always hit them with the sponge then blend by wiping with the block.
For the grey bits I just use to MF sponge thing (after doing the stripes) and give them a quick wipe with a MF towel to level it out.
