I am bummed as my best times were always at this track.

Please tell me I am mistaken.

You are not my friend. E-Town was my home track back in 2000. Always ran my best times there and Atco. Unfortunately Island will be the only track left open in NJ.

And except for elevation Island has allot to be desired, burnout area to small, run out about non existent, concession ehh, fuel, nope, but it’s better then nothing. Never ran at ATCO but was planning too this fall, bummer our play areas keep getting fewer and fewer

Going to Island for a cage certification on Sunday, every time I am there, they break my balls. I get the total Doc. McFeeely, show my NHRA card, go through all the crap, I say the A8 is stock, get into some shit about it not having a SFI approved flex plate.

Strange brakes and calipers, just ordered the Rossler TH400 and the converter is on Monday. Going thru the swamp in 4 low on this build, everything is custom, I mean everything. I am surrounding myself with the best in the industry, kinda protecting myself from myself. The build scares many off, now I just deal with the hard core, guys who build for the 4,000 and 5,000 HP cars. I think I amuse them, I tell them I don't no shit, need their help and love to learn.

The info I read earlier today said that there is a "Contractural Buyer" and it's that IAA place the sells insurance wrecks. It's the same company that leased the drag strip area at Englishtown, and they want to use ATCO for the same thing....store wrecks and auction them off. I guess they are offering a big enough chunk to these track owners that they are taking the offer.

The deal has to still jump some legal hurdles....zoning and such.

You would think there would be some EPA Superfund site somewhere that would be perfect for storing wrecked cars and such.

The webiste says they are racing for now.

There is something to be said about the North East. No guns, drag strips and high taxes... as if they wanted you just to go to work and drink your evenings away like subservient serfs...

Not sorry about Atco, I’m from NJ and look forward to its eventual demise... oh wait that’s already happened. 🤣
