Nittos usually run a little narrow. I didnt have to do anything to fit the 315 NTO5R

And the 315 is 1/4" taller & only weighs 1/2lb. more than the 305.

Just put the tires on the Redeye. Ground was mostly dry but not best condition.. I stomped the gas from 20mph in 2nd and it only spun at the top of the rpm a bit and regain traction immediately. Was very impressed. Did like 30 percent throttle in first gear and just took off.. with the pzeros the car would just spin. Night and day difference over stock all season 305s. And I didn’t even warm the tires! Was just testing cold and they worked right off the bat. Was like 80 degrees here the other day was a bit humid and misty. These tires have my approval.. can’t wait to get some #s this weekend. I’ll report back

Nice , so you did the 305's ? …..what tire psi cold ? ..... I think 28 > 30 psi might work.

No 315’s on the 11inch devil rims. They were at 33 psi I aired them down after the run to 30 Psi.

This is what Nitto told me for my Challenger.

Based on the information provided, the calculated inflation pressure for your tires is 29 PSI cold pressure.
For drag radials, a burn out is recommended in order to bring the tire temperature up between 160-220 degrees. At the track it is advised to start with 20 PSI and decrease in .5 increments till you get your desired result. You do not want to go any lower than 15 PSI as this may result in rim slip.

I get rim slip even at 22 psi , in most cases 22 psi at the track works for me , I agree the nitto's need a good burnout , for the street i will see how much the psi rises after driving a while & adjust to maintain no more than 32>34 psi.

Just curious where you are getting these measurements? By going off of the Nitto webpage and their advertised specs actual measurement converts to metric as 312.93 and 320.04 respectively.

I can say that the 05R's I put on factory WB devil rims in 315/35/20 had absolutely no issue with clearance anywhere. They are taller than stock.

Arrived today on schedule. Look real nice and the compound feels pretty soft to the touch like a new ET Street R which is completely un-scientific but it's all I got for the moment. Lol. My 555Rs still have a lot of life but I'm probably gonna swap em this week anyway. Keep the others in case I catch a nail. That's what happened to the last set, unfortunately.

Some random conversion site Google plugged in. 312 v 312.9 tomato tomatoe, however the 317 IIRC is the NT05R I was using as reference before the 315 R2 specs came out.

So are those 305/35s on the 9.5 inch wheels there or do you have 275/40s?
