I was able to pull off a 4.2 second 0-60 with the Crapirellis after a smoky burnout (using line lock was fun as hell). Today, I finally threw on my 305/45/17 ET Street Rs on my S71 Beadlocks.

Stock engine, DSS driveshaft, DIRS brace, 25psi in tires and in Sport Mode. I accomplished a 3.2 second 0-60

This is the first time I've ever used drag radials before, and holy crap. Mean Green is a totally different car with proper tires. Straight launches that dont result in swerving, actually biting the road and going. I'm never buying street tires ever again for the rear

Were you able to give it all she's got captain?
A little less PSI on the street, and you may be able to give it some more.
No complaints with what you've accomplished, excellent job.

I was a little more aggressive with going into the gas than I was with the Pirellis, but I probably could have gone more into it sooner. I'll lower the psi a little bit the next time I go out

Sure is auto, wouldnt have it any other way. The S71s match the OEMs a lot more than I thought they would. I plan on getting them powdercoated satin black to match the color of the fronts

Couldn't agree more. Drag radials are the simplest most effective way to enhance performance.

I daily drive on drag radials and don't see whats so difficult about rain with them. Yes you have to baby it, but you basically have to with street tires anyway so not much different for me.

Hpindy and I drove 400 miles to the track about 50 miles in a good amount of rain. I was on MT ETR's he was on MT SS. No problems just have to be gentle on the throttle.

I can see the SS getting by, but the ETR's.....dude that had to be a little bit hairy.

etr’s in rain is the scariest thing ever. I went sideways on heady rain on I-95. Almost put in the wall. Saved it barely.

I daily drive the SS tires and they are great in all weather down here in south florida.

You a daring man driving those ETR’s in the rain. Be careful!!

Honestly I was a bit scared because I heard they were bad in the rain. If you drive normal they are fine. We were on the highway going 60-70mph in lots of rain. You just have to be very gentle on the throttle. Up here in Canada we drive on ice, snow and slush all the time. You have to drive similar to those conditions when driving ETRs. I have to say I was surprised. As long as you are careful they are not that bad.

EDIT- Let me rephrase

What I mean by they are not that bad is you can drive them in the rain but you have to be really really really careful. Don't drive them in the rain if you don't have to or if you have to just be very careful. I don't want anyone getting hurt because they read my post and took it the wrong way.

No, but here’s an earlier one to back that up. :). F5252BE3-A4BB-40EA-B1FB-A03B5BFD6DA5.jpeg 0B3FC4C8-FE9B-4B73-817D-125F17FD2D61.jpeg

In 88 degrees I was able to pull off a 7.8. Shows how much a difference 30 degrees makes.
