sad to see a 170 go like that, but in whose universe is this the value ? !

Usually says whether it was fresh water or not, right?
No flood line because it was completely submerged.

Hopefully that means it wasn't running while it was taking on water.

Totally submerged and quite some time ago from the looks of it. If fresh water, mechanical bits & body will likely be OK with a lot of cleaning & TLC. Interior is a total loss, anything with that mold on it will have absorbed the smell (inc. the dash) + I'd want to do a mold abatement on the stripped inner shell. Not sure it would fetch $200k even if new & perfect ??

Even perfect 200 large is somewhat of a stretch...flood damage...it doesn't see triple digits...

heck, running low mileage 170s are going for 140-155 on BAT and auctions lately. if this thing was completely submerged, all the electronics are junk, engine, trans, and other mechanicals very questionable. i'm not sure i'd pay much, if anything for it.

2C3CDZL95PH101903 - no luck finding anything to show it was ever titled or registered. likely one of the many lost to Helene in western NC or near my area. Spartanburg isn't all that far, may wander over that way if weather cooperates this weekend. and maybe a visit to Carolina Marine to see of they'd be willing to take on the job, if it looks like it'll go cheap enough

It does look like the plastic was still on the drivers seat & steering wheel. The $1M question would be - is it even possible to source all the parts it's going to need ? Doubt there is much to be had from bone yards, especially things specific to the 170.

At the end of the day it's a $25k Dodge with a $35k driveline... if the motor and tranny are salvageable, it'll cost you $30k to make it new again (for the most part).

A new & untitled 170 for $70k - it IS a wet dream - literally !!!

I'd like to see the ViceGrip Garage/Roadworthy Rescues dude snap it up - a bit of power washing, some new sparkalators and I'll bet he'd have it up & running !

exactly what I was thinking. gut it, cage it, beat on it. let someone else rehab later if they really want to, and can afford it

If I had a relationship with one of these places that builds/restores classic & custom cars. Do not have the knowledge, skills or tools to try & fix it up myself.
