I agree with you, except the part about alligators attacking. I have never heard of alligators attacking a car or causing an accident and I have been in Florida for 19 years...

That's because with today's flimsy cars there's no trace of the vehicle or passengers when the alligators are done with them. It just becomes another unsolved missing persons case that goes unsolved.

And uninsured motorists are a HUGH problem...and in most states is illegal...but is sporadically enforced...it should be a felony...including confiscation of the stolen vehicle...

Sure seems like insurance is a scam and have accelerated the premium increases since Joe Blow Biden's hyper inflation. Travelers insurance premiums have increased 27% since that SOB has been in office. Prior to that they were very stable, but now they are $3,300 annually for all my vehicles, all my property insurance is through them and I get a $2,900 discount for the that. I'd need to sell my kidneys and part of my liver to afford the full rate.

We’ve had hurricanes, tornados and forest fires for years without the insurance rates going up exponentially like they have in the last two years! I thought there was some regulation? Maybe something the Biden administration has done has changed things?

Insurance companies are regulated, they cannot simply pick a price point to maximize profit via supply/demand. The only way they can increase profit is to grow the business. The more claims, the more they are allowed to charge, increasing profit. If they charge too much, they are forced to mail you a few pennies refund.

Once upon a time, health insurance was dirt cheap. Once the medical care industry was able to bill a 3rd party, both the health care industry and insurance industry exploded, at your expense.
