Went out last night in the cat. Been raining in the morn but the roads were pretty much dry and mild temperature 7 degrees.

Please tell me the Canadians were drunk when they picked the p zeros. Tickle the throttle and the rear just spins up. Even my mate who's not a car person said have you got some cheap Jackie chan tyres on.

Do these tyres need to be really warmed up on warm bone dry conditions?

What rubber you guys run. Need to be able to get in the UK

Are you running the all season or summers? Either will spin under 50 degree weather but the all seasons will handle better.

I think Chrysler must've gotten a great deal on buying boat loads of those tires. I see many sets of them for sale in my area after they have been taken off by new buyers of these cars. I live in an area where it rains a good bit, and we get cold temps as well. Numerous people seem to like one of the stickier all season Continental tires (Extreme Contact Sport), which you should be able to get over there. Michelin's (Pilot Sport series) are popular too. I'm leaning toward something in the BF Goodrich line that is their G-Force Comp-2 A/S. My car came with the Nexen drag radials stock, and they are not a winter tire at all. I've bought a set of take-off rims/all season tires (Firestone 245/45/20 tires) and those tires go up right away no matter the road conditions. I would never take the car out in cold/wet conditions unless I absolutely had to. I just bought a truck to get me through the winter/bad weather times. I'll switch out the Firestone's for the BFG's (275/40/20) in the spring so that I don't have to use up my drag radials just casual driving.

I ran the P-Zeros for a while but couldn't get them to stick on a cold Iowa blacktop. The Cat would just smoke them even in the upper gears. Put a pair of Nitto Drag Radials on her and I swear she lifts the front end off the ground on launch. I don't drive in the rain or snow so the Nittos work fine for me. Gatzby is the guy with a ton of experience with tires...maybe he'll chime in.

When I take my Nitto's off and put the all season Pirelli's back on I'm slippin' and slidin' all over the place!
I have put some effort into making the Pirelli's go away but they are hanging in there!

I don't think you can get nittos over here. Iv never herd of them before.

I only want it to be good in the dry as that's all I use her for.

Michelin PS4S or Conti Extreme Contact would work.

That was my first thought this morning when I saw the thread....but....I was very successful at keeping on topic at the time.....of course....I was going to add in the "ribbed for her pleasure" part.....

Dude!

7C is waaaay too cold to be putting down any real power, whether you're in PZeros or not.

You need at least 16, if not 18 to be playing with the throttle with any real ambition.

Really, 24 is ideal...

;)

(See what I did there?)

:p

Pirellis are Italian and FCA Italian/American. Now with PSA/FCA merger, any bets on more Michelins that are French????

If they put good, sticky Michelins on them that will be an improvement.

I'm looking at 305/35R 20 Mounted on Devil's Rims 20"x11" for the rears only: Mickey Thompson ET Street S/S, Toyo Proves R888R, Nitto NT555R, Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 and Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G2. Not sure if upsized to 315/35R 20 would create any issues on a Challenger Widebody??????

I run Nitto 315/35-20 NT05r mounted on 10.5” Brass Monkey replicas on my 16 Challenger NB, fit perfect. BEST street tire I’ve run, just mounted a new set about 2 months ago. They work good at the track to. But once their bald their done.
