I’m going to assume most of you feel similar. Even though I missed the Muscle Car Era, I still could have bought them used in the late 70’s and early 80’s, but I was never in a position to both afford one, AND afford a reliable daily driver to use for work AND have a place to safely store and work on it, not to mention the extra expense of maintenance and insurance.
The advent of the Hellcat was completely unexpected and beyond imagination! And when the stars aligned and I was able to buy that new HC and drive it home!!! That day was an unforgettable life experience. I’ll never forget the 3hr drive home, one spot going through construction a hard hatted worker said “WHOA!” when saw the cat badge on the fender. Later going up an entrance ramp under (more) construction a cop said “Nice car!”. Absolutely unforgettable thrill!
These are not just cars, they are a majestic pinnacle of the entire muscle car concept. A concept I admired and longed for since 1970, but only recently have realized. The timing was perfect, but now it’s gone. I have mine, and I get a thrill every time I walk by it in the garage. I am extremely lucky for all this to have happened, like I said, the stars aligned.
As for the Charger EV, it excites me almost as much as a sale on brussel sprouts.
