So what are the rules for heavyweight again?
This was MSHS HW rules.

Heavyweight

¼ Mile, 400 Tree, Min weight 4200 lbs with driver - 4400 with dual type power adder (OEM Blower does not count as a power adder)

I was gonna say SCT and FL2K and events like that are probably what you're going to race in if heads up is what you're looking for. Don't see many Challengers at those, at least what I've watched which admittedly isn't much. Lots of carnage at those events, no wonder people watch it. Joe Public loves the drama :LOL:

We'll see what 2024 brings. Last year is a blur but I don't remember seeing many Challenger/Chargers running 9s. Most compete in 10.00 classes that I've seen anyway which is a good happy spot for them IMO. Much below that and engine upgrades become a necessity IMO.

A lot more challengers and chargers out there racing than you are seeing then man, maybe just not out your way? There are many on the brink of 7's currently.

Yeah, the 55 height is somewhat “new”, not a lot of people running them. Wonder how much of a difference it makes. I have the 315/50r17
With 3.09s running low 9s or 8s probably be good. Another reason I'm staying with the 2.62 gears

I went from a 3.70 to a 3.09 and it had very little impact. Better 60’, 1mph less, and 1 10th better consistently

How in the world did the car in the Toyota lane do 154.67 mph?? The timers must have been messed up? Based on his 1/8th ET and his 1/4 ET, his mph’s should have been more like 90 and 115?
Turbo car
FWD imports would put up huge MPH in the back end as they were limited to a 22 or 23" tire 20 years ago.

I don't have an issue with wheel/tire change, light weight battery and some other things to make a car lighter. Racing seat is on the edge for me.

Even though that number seemed low from Dodge at least it was way more likely people could get close to it then the 18 Demon. Took awhile to match the 18 time
I still would like to know/track an apples to apples best time in the wild.

What do I mean?

Really simple....and 0% ambiguous...

a Demon 170 with ZERO mods*...including stock tires and wheels.

[*Ok, the only two mods (maybe?) is making it a 1 seater since that is an OEM factory configuration (assuming your car has more than 1 seat) and slapping on the EXACT brand of CF wheels Dodge used. No other mods though.]

Before the (100% guaranteed/predictable lol) flame starts....NO shade on any other ppls runs...have at it, ALL cool stuff!

Im just sayin id PERSONALLY like to see that config and track how close it gets to 8.91s 151mph...since THAT is what Wilder did (apparently more than once)....

EXACTLY, No manual steering conversion, no lite weight bumper brackets, no removal of the anti-sway bar or installation of a lite weight race seat or the use the super lite wheels with front skinnys.

No weight reduction of hundreds of pounds

Yep, I have it sitting in the garage for the hellcat, it is the unit used in the Drag Pak cars- Flaming River Rack and Pinion conversion

Congrats on the 170 Cole. That's a good looking car.
So far the OEM 170 record is Tom Taylors one seat aluminum wheel car.
It'll be fun to see what a carbon wheel car can do in OEM trim.
