Do you actually think that Dodge did everything as a production car? I think no way bet on that.
Yes, the 2018 Demon and 2023 Demon170 times were both duplicated/broken by POV's.

Every track I have been at has a scales, what does Ron's Demon weigh?

I'm more curious how the break fix went. Think it was the driveshaft?

No one will say what Ron's car weighs but I bet it's pretty light comparatively not that it matters to me at all.

Anyone that thinks the general public gets the same car Dodge used to run 8.91 is gullible.

I'm working on it. Mine's optioned up so I'm not expecting anything earth shattering but we'll see what it does.

I planned to run it in 9.50 classes at MSHS but they eliminated 9.50!

Tom Taylor(the guy that owns a bunch of OG Demons) went 9.14 and 9.15 with his bone stock one seat aluminum wheel 170 at the Legions event. So that benchmark has been set.

It is also my understanding that all 170's that went quicker than that at the event were lightened in some way.. whether it be just lightweight wheels/tires or further weight reduction.

DA wasn't good at legions either. Ron was in 1000 better DA with a great barometer yesterday

FYI- Tom is real good guy, he saved my ass on Friday when I had three (3) trailer tire blowouts and he showed up and drive me to a tire store. Just incredible that he was there and recognized the Demon170 on the open trailer.

Sorry I got the wrong guy.

A Demon170 owner helped me on the highway in North Carolina, it was not Tom (I just checked) so I got his name mixed up with the Demon170 owner that helped.

I'm not sure. The track has gotten a little interesting to work with since Dallas passed. I looked at an alternative and was quoted a ridiculous daily rental rate. Think 5 digits!

For the Demon to run "well" it's also gonna take good radial prep, which is rare. I think a lot forget that variable. I'm expecting to have to pull a lot of power at Beech Bend.

My educated opinion is that if a team of engineers is told by their boss "I wanna sub 9 second pass" that team is gonna do whatever it takes to get there and have access to all manner of tools to do it. Woulda be nothing for them to play with the tune a bit, etc, I mean they have 100% access which not even aftermarket gets us. Make it believable enough and let folks chase it adding to the legend of the car, great marketing.

It's what I'd do.

A lot of people actually believed the demo car ran 8.91 at 151 at the Vegas reveal and didn't think about that just being programmed in to the timing boards for marketing.

Speedy, Lets GOOOO, get that event scheduled somewhere, maybe talk to Dan and piggy back on one of his events?

Radial prep is now the norm everywhere.
