I just found this thread and really don't have time to read the whole thing right now but just to answer some of the questions from the beginning of it. Yes torque management was on and has been on the entire time I was tuning this car and we literally put as much upshift pressure in this thing as we could and it still slipped. So either it was damaged on the previous setup and tuner or it just had a failure. These things happen when you add 200+hp to a trans that wasn't designed for it. I have seen a ton of 8 speed cars with 5th gear issues and almost every single aftermarket a8 I have dealt with has shifting issues and performs worse than stock. Some are worse than others. One builder being the absolute worst and has terrible customer service when his high dollar transmissions won't shift on command and have sloppy shifts. If this thing shifts on the track and demonstrates higher torque holding capacity, David and I may be doing a bunch more business together.
