Torque converters. Whos running what.

There’s no reason why you shouldn’t be running deep 9s with your current setup. Go 9s first, then switch it up. Just my opinion

Wondering how it drives on the street and the pros to it? Just being able to load up more on the line?

Street Drivability is fine. Dodge wouldn't release something in a car like the redeye that didn't drive smooth. @vortecd cut a 1.31 60 with a similar setup to you now. But that was on great prep not your typical tnt prep.

Building a late model car like a hellcat you can throw everything out the window compared to building on older car even something like a fox body. Everything you normally upgrade you don't need to with these. My car basically has a blower up grade and I'm going 20 mph faster in the 1/4. Where you would want to upgrade would be drive line and suspension

I think that's been a lot of my problem aside from the obvious previous problems we've encountered it's just the track I was going to was crappy prep. When the tracks open back up I'll be going to one that's prepped so we'll see how we do then

The converter you said you have has 3 stall ratings. You said this is the one I have. What one of the 3 they list ?

@Hatermkr isn’t coming out with a converter. @hellno has been doing some converter testing but nothing official yet to be released.

I have one that flashes to 1800 with an extra clutch worked great in my slow ass car. Have a rev max 3100 bolt together did not go any faster

Hey Marc - not sure if you know of or follow Steve Morris, but he has a new prototype bolt-together, non-lockup from Chance - all billet titanium! For the Boostmaster. Weighs like 12 or 13 lbs. I can't imagine what that thing would cost

I know who he is. Mine weighs 25 lbs. I can’t even guess what a 13 lb chunk of titanium costs. My guess is … more. 😝

yea, he weighed them in a recent video - his current billet stainless converter was like 21, and he said that one was a $7500 unit!!

I'm not sure of the answer. You know I don't modify my Hellcat myself and is usually why I ask people to call for questions.
I'll have to find out the answer.

My husband (Top Cat)bought a Neil Chance bolt together for a prior to our Hellcats for race built Challenger by Tim Barth. Never got it out of the box!
But it cost 4,000.00

@Hatermkr HAS TESTED THE CONVERTER IM WORKING ON AS WELL AS I TESTED IT IN MY CAR AS WELL ,I PERSONALLY DIDNT GO WITH A HIGH STALL OUR CARS MAKE SO MUCH TORQUE THEY REALLY DONT NEED MUCH HELP GETTING OUT OF THE HOLE ,SOME BELIEVE IN THE HIGHER STALLS BELIEVING IT WILL GIVE THE TIRES A CHANCE TO START ROLLING BEFORE ALL THE POWER COMES IN ,MINE WOULD ONLY FLASH ABOUT 2200 RPM AND ID ONLY LEAVE AT AROUND 12-1400 AT THE LINE ,MY CONVERTER ALSO HAS 4V CLUTCHES INSTED OF 3
