I'm running 28x6R18 Sportsman S/R radials on factory Demon skinnys. Both required a ton of weight to balance. I called MT and they will warranty the tires but only after I remove them, send back at my expense and pay to reinstall the new. I know.. small price to pay on an expensive car but a waste of time and money if the replacements are the same.

Has anyone used balance beads vs wheel weights?

Few here have used with good results. Did you try spinning the tires 180 to see if they balance better?

How much is a ton? Are they stacking weights or what? Maybe consider removing some down to a acceptable number and then use beads to get the balance. I ran those for a long time and I don’t remember them needing more than expected.

You need to use a different tire shop. My super light Billet Specialties Comp front runners and M/T Fronts weigh a total of 22 lbs (wheel is 10 and the tire is 12). 0FA8D8F7-24F7-43E4-9C59-4C0514B049F5.jpeg

I used balancing beads in mine, the ride isn't as smooth as with my street setup, but it does the job.

Haha. Why would I do that. Just saying… unless your fronts are lighter than that, you should be able to balance.

Place didn’t even want to mount them for me and I carried them in because of “liability”

I'll have some time later today and I'll look. I don't remember them being stacked rather there are 5" of stick on weights in 2 spots of the wheel. The shop was also using a road force balancer. (if that even matters)

Is that 1/2 or 1/4 oz. weights?

Also, that they have a good balancer doesn't mean they know how to operate it.
