Went to pick up a Marlin in 45-70 and stop for dinner at the Speed Trap diner in the small town we bought property around a few months back. Fairly busy place that has some unique offerings, always a decent meal and friendly people.
Came out after dinner to a packed parking lot and 16-18 yr old kids sitting around at the ice cream store (all one building) same lady owns both.
You could tell they were waiting for who had the HC in the parking lot and we were parked out a ways at the far end. Anyways we hadn’t even got through the cars by the building and these two kids come running up asking if it was ours! Apparently I look like I have a HC because there’s no other way they would have known to ask unless they watched everyone come out of the cars parked out at that end or just asked everyone coming out if the place. I said yes it is and they were just all worked up asking questions!
I enjoy it when the younger kids ask about it. They asked if I would rev it a couple times for them, which I always oblige when kids ask! They were behind it, recording it for his online channel? Whatever, I don’t care if it makes em happy. They asked a few more questions and thanked us as the wife and I pulled out. I had to go out the far end , I put it in track so it would be louder and we could get on it a little as we went past the restaurant so they could hear it better.
Put a big smile on my face, I’m sure they had one too, the wife was just laughing at me playing around in my “dude magnet”
All in all a good night to finish off a shitty week😊
I then went home and ordered a car cover since I need it to sit in the locked back yard in a week while I’m fixing my truck after my new lifters arrive next week!
