I dunno if it's a world, but yes, there sure are differences.
Had three 2500s ('10, '14, and '14) and decided to get a "practical car". Bought a '14 1500, which was the most boring car I've had in recent history.
Got a 3500 C&C for towing in '17 and haven't regretted that one bit. Then, in '21, got fed up with the 1500 and it turned into....another 1500.
This time, a much more fun car. The extra power and the beef of the drive train (seeing the latter being what made me get a TRX) did kinda make make a world of difference to me.
It sure doesn't hurt that it's far more capable than a regular 1500 at what it's intended use is - bad weather, snow, and ice. Especially after a few tweaks. But it's NOT for towing.
