Or, go with the guy who is right down the street from me (I can see his house as I type out the glass door in my office). Looks like a freaking fire station - one huge roll up door at least 10 feet high taking up a two thirds of the front of the house. I don't know if he has a wall inside between the areas, but from the outside it looks like his house is basically a dealership display area. All cars / trucks parked in the living room on the ground floor.

Personally, my wife would flip if I did something like that.

Still not as good as a drain. I didn't put a drain in my garage but wish I did. I was my cars in the garage in the winter and it is heated. So I have to open the doors to sweep the water out. Running it to the doors doesnt get rid of the snow melt from the vehicles either. It always has to be swept out.

I was just telling you how to put a drain in. I wasn't arguing with you about the law. My builder told me when I did the house he usually just puts a bunch scrap on the garage floor around it so it wasnt visible.

Your builder is asking for legal action if that drain causes any damage, it's not on the prints and not allowed by code. Just saying.
