Why would you put one over the other? Take the old ones off first and then put on the new.

So would u guys recommend heating up the old stripes with a hairdryer then slowly peeling off.Clean with something safe for paint , then apply new one? I’m just worried about accidentally pulling off some of the paint job is all

BTW, more than one person has lifted paint taking factory stripes off of the plastic because of poor paint adhesion to the plastic.

Pay a professional shop to do it. If they jack it up, they'll fix it. If you jack it up, you'll have them fix it. If you can't risk jacking it up, don't do it. Or, do it don't bitch if you jack it up.
