This is on the street data, at the track I run 315/50-17 MT Street R’s
I’ve been running 315 NT05R for 2 years, like 4 sets of them. I bought a set of 315 555R2’s back in may. I tested them and 315/50-17 MT Street R’s all in the same afternoon on the street within 30 minutes of one another, all 3 spanking new. With no burnout The NT05R gave me the best times in all markers over a 1/4, 60 ft, 0-60, 330, 660, 1000’, 1/4. I did a write up on the test. I ran the NT05R all summer and wore them to nothing then recently put the 555R2’s on and did a 1/4 pull in 30F weather and they gave me a 2.1 60 ft and a 11.9 1/4, I’m trying to put 935 wheel down with a low ratio M6. Both are good tires, the 555R2’s look better. Both where on 10.5” wide runs and 26 psi, a 11-11.5” rim would suit them better, on 10.5” the outer 1/2” on each side of the tire is not doing anything. I’ll be mounting a new set of 555R2’s on 11” replicas this spring and see how that helps them. I also have aftermarket rear suspension goodies and have my caster set at .3 degrees positive 0 toe which helps as well. You can’t go wrong with either except they don’t last long and don’t like the wet.
