It's pictures on the internet but I'd put it back together and send it. Weigh labor to swap the diff again if needed but still. On my old 6 speed car everybody and their brother told me I'd end up breaking a diff. I bought a spare and it stayed in my attic for 10 years never used. YMMV.

I didn’t have a good way to get at it. Maybe there’s a better way but this seems to be my go to next time.

When my buddies axle broke in the diff it broke spider gears & the pin shaft in half, glad you got lucky.

I agree. Unlike fumanchu's where the spider gears were broke

I wasn't sure if there were springs or clutch plates in these, it is clutches. Jon sent me a pic of the clutches. Similar to a 8.8 ford

Was there any distortion in the piece left in the spider gear when it snapped, or was it a clean break and you were able to get it out of the spider gear without having to hammer on it?

I barley tapped it with a punch and hammer to get it out

Yeah, I remember it being kind of a weird "grip" on the axle when I swapped mine out in the old car. A pry bar popped it right out but that's leverage. I'd think a strong earth magnet would get it but maybe not.
