I'm baffled by this car for several reasons. Its easy enough to get 1000hp from the stock supercharger, so why Whipple? Why a M6? Why does this car still have stock size tires on the rear with 1000hp?

Because testicles and talent.
Well the M6 is a weak link and quite frankly, I'm not sure I'd want to only have one hand on the steering wheel with 1000hp. My car makes 1000hp and I prefer both hands on the wheel at full throttle. Don't get me wrong, I love driving a manual trans in a performance car but not with 1000hp.

Is Hennesey legit again? I know tons of people on Corvette Forum and. Viper. Forum had problems in the past.

And my car has 717 factory under-rated whorespowers (or 747hp SAE measured), the most powerful stick shift car I've ever driven (by 3 fold) and I just took possession a month ago - and I am managing just fine. Another 250hp would be a negligible gain. But, I don't want that extra power or need it, so my transmission isn't in jeopardy - the only thing I care about is your time slip, not your dyno numbers.

LOL, an additional 250hp is night and day difference, you really have no idea since you seem to think its "negligible". Its a little hairy when I can break the rear tires loose at 70mph with a 335 width tire on the rear, just feels a lot more reassuring with both hands on the steering wheel when that happens. I could break the rear tires loose at 80mph when I had my 3.09 gears so I went back to the stock 2.62 gears.

It's your choice to drive a manual if you want. I never said you couldn't. I said, I don't understand a 1000hp Hellcat with a manual, which is a LOT different than a stock Hellcat with a manual.

No question driving a 1000hp manual would be a scary experience. I agree there.

Didn't realize Hennesey became a problem company. I knew/heard of 2 or 3 co.'s more Mopar oriented that became problems but didn't catch wind of any of that till now. More good info from this forum.(y)
