We attempted to run our program at Springfest in Cali a few years ago but the NHRA weenies panicked when actual fast cars showed up from across the country. They basically neutered our program. We may try again one day, it has proven to be a solid program that showcases your build and just plain good fun imo.

So I take it you were looking at an NHRA sanctioned (controlled) drag strip? There are a couple more tracks out here that I believe NHRA is not involved. One would be Sacramento Raceway and then I think Bakersfield is also on their own. I'll have to check into this and let you know what I find.
