I bought mine (at lease end) back in May or so. As noted elsewhere the BS-o-meter on line valuation tools are showing my value going up. Something like 55,000 or something now. A trip. Get what you like and enjoy it. I am not brand loyal - a "brand" doesn't mean shit. Individual car lines (and sub lines) inside the same manufacturer can be designed incredibly poorly or magnificently. And there is so much interlocking ownership and parts sharing (and third party third world parts suppliers) that branding is meaningless. If I like the car (or the bike) I get it if I want it.
It's all an illusion, like devotion to a particular sports team. They don't give a shit, and most aren't worthy of sitting down with for a dinner as individuals - they have for too long been treated as exceptions to the rules others have to live by. Such attitudes are dangerous, both to people and to society.
I agree with the first part.
Second part I would say applies more towards politicians, musicians and actors.
For me the sports team is more important than any individual player, I watch the team not any individual player, similarly I enjoy the hellcat not the dart, caravan, etc etc
I would say I'm a hardcore fan but I'm also not stuck in the imaginary world, players are no different than me or you, heck Donald Trump is no different than me or you. Their actions are their own and when I go to watch the game I go to watch them play not talk about they are pieces of sh*t outside the game.... most are lol.
I watch all the football games for my particular team, casual baseball/hockey/basketball in the regular season but will watch all playoff games.
As far as me selling the hellcat goes, it was moreso about the upgrade to the widebody as it has the ability for more traction. So getting the positive equity was a way for me to justify waiting a few months.
