Rear Seat Delete for the REDEYE

Figured I would give a little update, the main part is all drawn up, I am going to make one and see how it fits while I continue to work on the artwork part of the front that is going to take a lot of drawing time and Scotch.

Just out of curiosity how many of you guys actually want the Demon Doing the burn out artwork on them? Or any any artwork?

I don’t have a 3D scanner so this is all done old school with calipers, mic’s and radius gauges and since my side business is boat and car graphics the artwork will all have to be hand drawn off a pencil rub..

Sorry I know it has been awhile since I talked about this but I finally have time and the pictures to go with it. So when I went to run the first prototype we did not have enough black powder to run a full build and the powder comes from Germany, well between this COVID shit and customs that took a little over two months to get and then I got busy with my day job and my company and never got a chance to post pictures but here is the 3D printed version of the close out panel. The guy that I borrowed the original Demon part from said it fits exactly like the original. That being said I am going to tweak it just a tad to fit better.

Pretty amazing what these printers can now do. Switch panels, block off plates, etc. Sky's the limit on this stuff now it seems. I remember having to cut, melt, weld, and all that to make custom panels back in the day.

It is pretty crazy what you can now make that’s for sure, your imagination is really the limit.

I have had the AAD harness bar kit in my car for a while and I ordered the SRT rear seat delete kit last week, along with the demon floor trim with the cut outs. Overall it looks great - except the AAD kit exits the center out in the center, as opposed to near the top with the OEM demon harness bar kit.

I've looked around and this appears to be normal as the AAD kit is designed to fit more with the rear seats still installed.

Wondering if anyone else has seen this issue?

I always intended to add the REAR SEAT DELETE to my 2019 REDEYE Widebody. I thought the smart play was to order the vehicle with the back seat in place and then get the delete kit later. I figured having the rear seat will help with the resale value when it comes time to part ways.

Just FYI, When I put my 2020 REWB factory Rear Seat Delete car up for sale last November, it only lasted a week and a half before a new owner drove off in it. Had 10 inquiries on it in that week and a half and around half of them stated that they were looking for a RSD car.

Not sure if that makes any difference, but it's at least one data point for consideration.

I looked into the rear seat delete before but realized unless your counting every hundredth of a second at the strip it really makes no difference in terms of weight loss or performance. Redeye Racing Youtuber did a video where he weighed all the components and after he put the Kit back in the car there was only a net weight loss of 30 pounds. Now if you really want to lose weight and you have laguna leather seats.. you can swap those for race seats for both driver and passenger side and get a net weight loss of about 100 pounds. Now if you do both then you have something because that’s 130 pounds taken out which is significant.. 30 pounds not so much IMO

Speedy! 's rear seat delete youtube video has it at 48lbs. It's totally worth it for me as I chase a personal best 1/4 mile time in a stock configuration. Thanks for the great video Speedy!

Ha Ha. I sold mine... and replaced it with a 2022 Jailbreak Challenger (with the rear seat delete option!)

Just got my new Super Stock home from the dealer, of course it has the $1 rear seat delete installed. Don't need no stinking rear seat.
