We have an international chain of coffee shops here in WNY..(Canada/Us)....the overwhelming majority of their business is done through their drive up windows...they do an amazing job of keeping the line moving,,it;s not unusual to see 10 cars or more in line...I frequent this particular location daily..(sometimes twice a day)....I get the same thing every morning.(over 10 years running).medium coffee /light cream... they are efficient and cordial...until today...I placed my usual order...when I got to the window I asked for an extra empty cup...(I use it as an ash tray for my cigars)...the girl politely gave me my coffee..and the extra cup...(so far so good)...to which I replied thank you my dear...well...as you can imagine she exploded..I'M NOT YOUR DEAR..AND DONT EVER ADDRESS ME LIKE THAT AGAIN.....generally I ignore these things and drive away....I pulled in went to the counter and asked for the manager...the mgr. is a woman who has served me for years...I asked if she recognized me..she said only from coming in here for years...I recounted what happened...and told her...the waitress was right...she's not my dear..and now I am NO LONGER your customer...I used the phrase as a term of endearment for her accommodating me...In no way was it used in a derogatory or demeaning sense....I realize my 2.70/5.40 purchase a day means nothing...to me it the principle ..I'm not gonna be tongue lashed by some minimum wage teenage misfit who thinks the customer...(any customer) has an obligation to insure she's not offended...I never waited for a response from the manager...I turned and walked out...

The woke are ruining businesses everywhere. What I have done in the past is to write or type out a letter to the CEO of the company (hand-written is better and these get way more attention than emails, which get deleted immediately). Explain the situation, explain that you are no longer a customer because of their woke employee, emphasize that you do not want compensation or make-good coupons, you just want to let them know why they lost your business. This gets attention, and more so today, I would imagine. Include your name, address, email and phone number and don't be surprised if you get contacted.

Exactly my thought..(and I don't want anything)...I know how tough the labor situation is today for owners...regardless...I'm not puttin up with it....but I will send that letter;)

Wouldn’t boycott the location because of the idiots they hired. If the manager was a woke bitch, probably, but the broad you dealt with won’t be there much longer.

Wouldn’t boycott the location because of the idiots they hired. If the manager was a woke bitch, probably, but the broad you dealt with won’t be there much longer.
Hortons on Seneca and ridge...There the same time every morn...can just go to ridge and abbott...now that I've made it an issue don't wanna chance her taintin my coffee :oops:

Send the home office a letter. It's a Canadian corp but they surely have a U.S. division. Go to your SOS web site and do a business lookup. Find out who is the registered agent and also try to find the CEO or equivalent. Mail letters. I do this every so often and almost always get a response. They could tell you to fk off but they won't because you could publish they reply. If the don't reply, you could publish your painfully polite (non NY'er) letter and say they chose not to respond. Good luck!

The manager did back up the employee so, yeah, boycott the location. The important thing is to let the CEO know why. Otherwise it gets blamed on the location, the economy, etc.

NYS is a cancer…Trump started to slow it, but we’ve been in stage 4 for a while. You upstate NYers might be on a little delay though…downstate is in slight remission, which may take some more time to reach up there.

IMO, make your coffee at home, that's what we do, no need for needless drama and to overpay. Retail is dying, let it die. No money has a way of changing attitudes.

IMO, make your coffee at home, that's what we do, no need for needless drama and to overpay. Retail is dying, let it die. No money has a way of changing attitudes.
They actually sell their coffee retail (Kcups for home use)...It's good...not as good as on site...plus been goin there for ten years...first negative experience

It boils down to convenience and taste, I think most coffee houses sell shit coffee (including the retailers including Kcups), thus, we make our own. I understand that is not the issue, however, why support some woke crap? So many alternatives, bad business will sort itself out.

Another vote for make yer own. Mine is better than any drive thru + I can buy 2 or 3 bags that are different from the 'usual' & make my own blend when the mood strikes. Kcups don't taste any better than coffee from a hallway vending machine IMO.
