I'm creating this thread to build a summary of all the info, and eventually may move it to the wiki.
Anyone who would like to contribute, please do so, but I ask that this thread be light on discussion, just raw data. There are numerous other threads already for discussion on these topics which I follow.
I will place the results within the first few messages. I will follow them with a few posts of data I have collected both as the data and also to serve as examples for the data and post format I'd prefer.
The data I'm interested in and the format I'd prefer:
car: Challenger or Charger
lowered: "no" or 0
- or -
lowered front: N" using X kit
lowered rear: M" using Y kit
front: <wheel size> <ET> <wheel brand> <wheel model>
rear: <wheel size> <ET> <wheel brand> <wheel model>
front: <tire size> <tire brand> <tire model>
rear: <tire size> <tire brand> <tire model>
front: "fits" or "rubs, needed <mods>"
rear: "fits" or "rubs, needed <mods>"
Optionally:
front section: section width measurement of actual wheel/tire combo
rear section: section width measurement of actual wheel/tire combo
front diam: diameter measurement of actual wheel/tire combo
rear diam: diameter measurement of actual wheel/tire combo
notes: include here any other measurements, eg of clearance between fender lip and tire, protrusion amount, amount of tire sidewall bulge, actual measured outside width of wheel (not just inside spec) etc.
photos: photos are of course welcome, especially those that focus on fitment and profile showing how much a combination tucks in or is flush with the car or how much wheel well gap exists, however, please don't quote photos unecessarily--I'd like this thread to stay information dense and not get filled with scrolling noise
Please caption each photo completely and explicitly.
Notes:
replace front+rear with "square" if they are the same
<ET> should be explicit on the +/- and be formatted as one of:
<ET of wheel>
<ET of wheel> <spacer> = <total ET>
eg:
-2.5mm
+25mm
+21mm 3mm = +18mm
if you tried the same combo with and without spacers before eliminating rub simply expand the fitment entries like so (please be explicit and write it as "total ET" so as to be clear):
front: fits
rear: fits with +18mm total ET
rear: rubs with +20mm total ET until minor tub mod
rear: rubs with +21mm total ET
Hard Requirements:
- "fits" should only be said for combinations not requiring any mods (spacers don't count as mods)
- DO NOT say that a combination "fits" or no longer "rubs" unless it absolutely does not rub at any suspension extreme, eg even if it only rubs in hard cornering if you hit a bump just right IT DOES NOT FIT for the purposes of this data.
- limit individual posts to describing a single combination, one front, one rear. In all these other threads it's just far too easy for people to wind up posting confusing, useless info when they talk about multiple combinations in the same few sentences--it winds up causing a dozen follow-up posts of people asking for clarification which is just noise.
As an example, here's a thread with similar purpose with a similar format to what I'm hoping this can be:
Lowering, Offset, and Rolling Fenders..GURUS
