Well, this Hornet was always going to be a badge engineered car because Dodge has no R&D budget. The real story as to why the Hornet was made has to do with the fact that Dodge has been throwing over $1.2 billion per year at Tesla for carbon credits. When the Fed removed that carbon trade loophole to punish Tesla, Dodge had no cars to sell and no R&D to make something on their own. Thus, the Hornet is a hand-me-down, mostly R&D free vehicle to give them something, ANYTHING to sell in 2024. This video could have been a lot shorter.
