First step… drink. Tonights beverage Corona Extra with Lime. Second step, watch youtube.
You need to separate the old tire and wheels. I choose a ratchet strap and a jack.
Once the bead is broken you need to separate wheel and tire…
I recommend doing it so that the tpms will clear. Next soapup the back of the tire you are putting on.
plop that biznitch on
So beadlocks sit in a groove, i recommend stretching the tire in a S, W, N, E configuration. Soapy wooder is your friend. Once you get a direction in the groove use the beadlock ring to clamp it so it wont come out. Im an 800lb gorilla so this shit was easy 👀
Fill with air till you pop the bead back on, it will be loud. Brough me back to when Seaman Timmy fired his shotgun and I didn’t have a chance to put earpro on…
Before filling I torqued down to 10 ft lbs. then did 15, then 18 using a paint pen to mark studs done in a star pattern per Forgestars recommendation. I will have to say this is now a safety concern for me and will be doing my own beadlocks in the future. Discovered a ticking time bomb on the old pair. #mechanik never put the tire in the groove…
hope you enjoyed this fantastic read, off to Mr. Tire tomorrow for a quick balance.
