Can the G3 Hemi engine in OEM form in our cars be "bumped" over without extra intrusion of some kind?

Sorry for the dumb question, but I have never seen it asked or discussed before...Does anyone know if there is a way to conveniently "bump" or bar over the G3 Hemi in small movements without wrenching on the balancer bolt, etc., like when checking valve lash on a solid valvetrain using the key on old cars or a dedicated under hood button on race cars....or are the needed circuits available in the electrical panel under the hood to temporarily hook up an external switch?

I have one of those relays with the toggle switch on it. Pop it in place of the starter relay under the hood and you can wheel the motor over with no key. I just use it to bring up oil pressure and change valve spring position every month or so during the winter when it’s parked instead of starting the motor and potentially not letting it warm up enough.

I use one of these when I work on my old cars. No idea if you can even easily get to the starter solenoid on something modern like a Hellcat though.

Why did you rule out the balancer bolt approach?

That's the way we did it in days of old.

Didn't rule it out - was just a hypothetical thought that occurred to me in the last 2 months while spending 50 hours bent over under my hood on the valve cover project and noticing there ain't a lotta room (if any) to have a breaker bar on the balancer bolt with the engine in the car and access from above :geek:. Plus, I obviously always had a bump button on my race cars for checking lash within easy arms reach
