So I'm taking my '21 DHC in for 4 new tires tomorrow morning. I usually do burnouts/donuts in my performance cars prior to new tires going on.
I pull fuse 77 and yes it will light up the rear tires only for a nice smoky and smelly burnout.
My question and annoyance is that pulling this fuse disables the manual operation of the trans. So it goes up through the gears during the burnout. I tried the paddle shifters and the shifter itself, no control over the gear changes.
Not a huge deal but I like to start the burnout in 1st gear in manual mode, upshift into 2nd or 3rd and commence the bulk of the burnout that way.
Anyone know a solution for how to regain control of the gears? Any programmers out there that offer this capability?
I saw a clever person wire and mount a toggle switch for fuse 77 but with the trans lockout that wouldn't be fully satisfying to me.
Putting Michelin PS all seasons (114Y) non-RF tires on so hopefully in 3-5 years from now I can have this sorted!!
